We’re excited to be an “Ally” with Citi during their Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge (T4I), an open innovation competition that asks corporate teams and small businesses to find innovative solutions that promote integrity, accountability, and transparency in the public sector. T4I is not only targeting companies in the “Govtech” space, but also companies in financial transactions, cyber security, big data, mobile communications and transactions, IoT, and cryptocurrency. Innovators in all these spaces are encouraged to apply, as these technologies could be applied to public sector use-cases. The goal of this challenge is to solve real-life problems for government organizations around the world. Since the integrity pain points are global, Citi is seeking participation from tech companies from around the world. T4I is asking tech companies to submit ideas that solve a problem in one of the eight pillar categories selected by Citi. The categories were selected by crowdsourcing pain points and examples of ways technology can promote integrity. The eight pillars categories include:
- Government Transactions
- Culture, Ethics, and Citizen Engagement
- Information, Security, and Identity
- Crisis Management & Aid
- Cutting the Red Tape
- Analytics
- Reporting and Transparency
- Financial Crimes and Illicit Activities
- Procurement
In May, finalists will have an opportunity to showcase their working prototypes at one of six Demo Days in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Dublin, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Hyderabad to Citi and their “Allies”. In June, the final award recipients will be announced and potential pilot opportunities explored with Citi and allied partners. These teams have the opportunity to eventually work with Citi or other companies, organizations or governments to fully develop their innovations. Envestnet® | Yodlee® is proud to support this year's T4I Challenge. To support this event, we're offering developers access to the Envestnet | Yodlee Aggregation and Account Verification APIs at no charge through our developer portal. We will also be providing technical support with various API guides and tutorials, and explorer tools. We're also giving an award at each regional Demo Day for the best use of our API. Those recipients will be given a fast track application to the Envestnet | Yodlee Incubator program, and further mentorship from our roster of mentors and experts. Finally, they will have six-month access to our APIs with developer support, which is worth up to $85,000. For more information about Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge, please visit their website to learn about the eight pillar categories.
