On March 18th, the Fintech Innovation Awards 2015 (FIA) were held in the heart of London where technology influencers and visionaries in the Fintech industry, gathered to honor their top innovators. It was an honor for me to attend the event with our UK Team: Mark Herlily, Director of International Sales; Carol Grouse, International Customer Success Manager; and our amazing customer, OnTrees, ranked as the #1 Free Finance App in the UK. Our London office was excited to participate in and co-sponsor the event. It was great to connect with many Yodlee® Interactive customers and network with an international group of financial apps and technology services luminaries. The FIA awards are an annual event made possible by Bobsguide and PaymentEye. This year, we honored 2014’s fintech movers and shakers who accomplished the most in the global financial and payments technology sector. Yodlee Interactive, Bright Bridge, Treasury Express, and Wex co-sponsored the event. Over 400 industry delegates and experts were in attendance. The awards ceremony was held at the Brewery where live music was featuring The Urban Soul Orchestra, a string ensemble. Julia Streets, Founder and Director of Streets Consulting hosted the evening. Speeches were given by famous English rugby player and coach, Sir Clive Woodward (keynote), Founding CEO of Fintech incubator Brightbridge, Dan Cobley and past VP, Technology and Research, Visa Europe, Andrew Vorster. Sir Woodward’s observation that “Whoever wins in IT, tends to win” hit close to home with the audience. All the speakers were inspiring; Urban Soul was amazing, and the combination of celebration and networking kept everyone dancing late into the night. Congrats to the award winners:
